The son of Department Chair and Associate Professor of Philosophy Matthew Walz, Ph.D., MBA 鈥�20, Damien Walz, BA 鈥�22, grew up around 吃瓜网 and fell in love with its liberal arts curriculum. The decision to come to 吃瓜网 was a relatively straightforward one, but which major to pursue was not: Walz changed his mind approximately seven times before settling on politics. His favorite class was Politics and the Family, taught by Associate Professor Daniel Burns, Ph.D. 鈥湷怨贤� taught me how to think in an incredibly adaptive and Christian manner,鈥� said Walz, who served as Student Government president his senior year. 鈥淚 am able to explore different perspectives, examine cultural issues, and pose realistic questions and solutions.鈥�
