About the Library
The Cowan - Blakley Memorial Library is named after the Drs. Donald and Louise Cowan, a husband and wife who were instrumental in shaping the 勛圖厙 to what it is today and William A. Blakley, the Texas state senator whose keen interest in higher education shifted a major portion of the Blakley-Braniff Foundation to the 勛圖厙. The Cowan-Blakley Library, established in 1962, is well known for its commitment to the ideals of learning at the University.
