Alumni & Family Weekend FAQ's

With over 1,050 participants gathering to experience everything the weekend has to offer from campus tours to tower climbing, engaging debates, and special celebrations of reunion classes celebration with '00 and '05 peers. Alumni & Family Weekend is truly a time of joy, connection, and reminiscing on unforgettable moments. To help you navigate the event details, we’ve compiled answers to some of the most frequently asked questions to help you enjoy the weekend to its fullest. 

All alumni, parents and families are welcomed to attend the weekend’s festivities. Alumni celebrating a reunion year will experience special reunion activities.

  • Early Bird tickets are $60 from Aug. 1 through Sept. 2. Tickets increase to $70 and are available until Sept. 21. Onsite tickets are $75. 
  • The Golden Crusaders Dinner and weekend activities are $60.

  • Access to all the events: lectures, classes, the Alumni Business Festival, the faculty debate, bounce houses, building dedications, athletic events and more! (Invitation-only events are excluded.)
  • Your dinner ticket to Friday Family Fiesta (children welcome to attend)
  • Your Saturday dinner ticket (adults only, for classes celebrating a reunion year ending in 0 or 5)
  • Two drink tickets, redeemable at any of the bars
  • One food truck ticket for Saturday afternoon during the Alumni Business Festival

When you RSVP, you help us ensure that everyone can enjoy enough food and drinks. Some events offered throught the weekend are by invitation only. If you receive an invitation to one of these, please let us know if we should expect you. 

  • Registration for children under 13 is free with a paying adult, and each registered child eats for free at the Friday Family Fiesta. We will have children’s activities on the Mall during the day, including bounce houses. 
  • The only exception is the Saturday dinner and party for those celebrating reunions (classes ending in ‘0 and ‘5), which is adults-only. Please plan to arrange childcare if you will attend the reunion dinner.

Professors volunteer to allow alumni and families to audit their classes on Friday. Please only attend classes that are listed on the schedule. Remember, these classes are still part of the students’ curriculum, and space is limited.If you are unable to attend Friday’s Open Classes, join us for Mock Classes on Saturday.

Unfortunately, we are unable to process refunds at this time, so please plan accordingly.

  • Food and drinks included with your ticket:
  • Two drinks ticket redeemable at any bar or two non-alcoholic tickets redeemable at the Cap Bar 
  • Friday, Sept. 26, Family Fiesta Dinner (children are welcome)
  • Food truck ticket for Saturday, Sept. 27, during the Alumni Business Festival, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Those celebrating a reunion class will receive a ticket for Saturday, Sept. 27 (adults only)

Please dress comfortablly as we offer a variety of events from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Dressing in layers is recommended; please check the weather.

Guests can park at any unmarked parking spot on campus for that weekend. Please be advised that parking will be limited in Lot A on Friday, Sept. 26, for Golden Crusaders, and Lot C on Saturday, Sept. 27, for vendors participating in the Alumni Business Festival. Please try to carpool or arrive early to secure a spot.

There is a stop that drops you off at the ³Ô¹ÏÍø. To inquire about the schedule and fare, please visit the DART .

³Ô¹ÏÍø Police will be present rhgoutht the entirety of Alumni & Family Weekend. If you need emergency assistance on campus during the weekend, please call 972-265-5911.

If you misplace something or find something, please bring it to the check-in table in Haggar University Center. We will hold all items until 7 p.m. on Saturday.
