What Can You Do with an MBA in Accounting?

In today's complex financial landscape, organizations across every industry need accounting professionals who can do more than crunch numbers, they need strategic thinkers who understand business at every level. That's why an MBA with a concentration in Accounting is more valuable than ever.

At the ³Ô¹ÏÍø, students in the MBA Accounting concentration gain a deep understanding of financial reporting, taxation, auditing, and managerial accounting, while also building Leadership, communication, and ethical decision-making skills.

Graduates are prepared to pursue careers in public accounting, corporate Finance, auditing, and financial analysis, with many continuing to sit for the CPA exam.

Accounting Career Paths to Consider:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

CPAs are licensed professionals qualified to handle tax filings, audits, and consulting for individuals and businesses. A CPA might spend their day preparing financial statements, analyzing tax strategies, or representing clients before the IRS.

Financial Analysts

Financial Analysts help businesses and individuals make smart decisions about spending and investing to maximize profit. Their day might involve studying market trends, building financial models, and delivering insights that support strategic growth.

Internal Auditor

Internal Auditors examine an organization's financial and operational processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Their work helps organizations improve performance and reduce risk.

Tax Manager

Tax Managers develop and implement strategies to ensure tax compliance and optimize financial planning. They work closely with Leadership to manage audits and filings.

Accounting Manager

Accounting Managers oversee daily accounting operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage reporting processes. They often supervise teams and coordinate with other departments to maintain financial health.
